Here are some preschool printables that you can use to teach colors and shapes to your little ones:
Colors:
1. Color Matching Game: Print out a set of color cards (e.g. red, blue, yellow, green, etc.) and pair them with a set of object cards (e.g. apple, cat, sun, tree, etc.). Ask your child to match the color card with the object card that has the same color.
2. Color Sorting Activity: Print out a set of shapes (e.g. squares, circles, triangles, etc.) in different colors. Ask your child to sort the shapes by color.
3. Rainbow Color Wheel: Print out a color wheel with different colors of the rainbow. Ask your child to point out each color and say its name.
4. Color Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of objects around the room or outside that match the colors your child is learning. Ask them to find each object and say its color.
5. Color Page: Print out a blank picture with different colored shapes (e.g. a picture of a cat with a red nose, blue eyes, and yellow fur). Ask your child to color the shapes with the corresponding colors.
Shapes:
